Grammy Winner LATROIT Unveils The Music Video For 'Finally' Featuring World Renown Jazz Bassist Ron Carter

The Lead Single From Latroit’s House Ensemble Debut Album Classics Volume 1

LOS ANGELES, CA, UNITED STATES, September 30, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- GRAMMY Award-winning producer LATROIT (Dennis White) has announced the release of the cinematic companion for “Finally,” the lead single from the Latroit House Ensemble’s Classics Vol 1 featuring the legendary jazz bassist Ron Carter. With a career spanning over 6 decades, Carter anchored Miles Davis’ iconic Second Great Quintet from 1963 to 1968, and with over 2,200 recording sessions to his name, is recognized as one of the most influential bassists in jazz history. “Finally” marks Mr. Carters first exploration into house music.

Rather than sampling one of Carter’s historic recordings, LATROIT invited him to create an entirely new bass performance for the enduring house music classic by Kings of Tomorrow. The result is a rare collaboration between one of jazz’s most influential musicians and a GRAMMY Award-winning producer, bringing together two artists whose careers have been shaped by improvisation, musical expression, and community. Carter recorded his performance in New York in June 2026, joining Latroit in the studio to create a new interpretation of one of house music’s most enduring anthems.

In speaking about the recording process Ron Carter said: “This is a first for me (something I have not said for quite a while)… I enjoyed it. Thank you for providing me with another form to ‘find the right notes’.”

“Recording with Ron Carter was one of the high points of my entire career. It was an interesting combination of humbling & empowering, intimidating & inspirational, serious & fun,” said Dennis White.

“Ramin (co-producer) and I studied Mr. Carter when we were at Berklee College of Music together. We knew in real time that we were experiencing something monumental. The fact that the Maestro agreed to record with us gave our entire project new energy and purpose.

The music video for “Finally” was directed by Priscilla Jimenez, the Latroit Ensemble’s creative director , who has worked with some of the biggest artists and brands in the world.

“I approached Dennis with an idea for the “Finally” video with no storyboards and no crew and he said yes immediately. The concept was to highlight the intimate nature of the song and capture the sessions throughout the world where it was recorded.”

LATROIT’S Classics Vol. 1, is the debut album from the Latroit House Ensemble,” via House of Latroit / Symphonic and was recorded in Johannesburg, Oxfordshire, London, Miami, Detroit, New York, and Los Angeles. Dedicated to preserving the spirit and cultural legacy of house music through live performance it features artists Ron Carter, the Soweto Gospel Choir, South African vocalist Nomvula Munnie, and UK vocalist Nick Clow.

Classics Vol. 1 follows History of House, Latroit’s 2024 album featuring the Soweto Gospel Choir, that reached #1 on U.S. College Radio’s Electronic and Global charts, earned an ARIA Award nomination for Best Global Album, and was named one of KCRW’s Top Albums of the Year.

GRAMMY Award-winning producer, songwriter, DJ, and composer Dennis White (LATROIT) has spent more than three decades helping shape modern dance music. Beginning his career as Music Director for Kevin Saunderson’s legendary group Inner City during the “Good Life” and “Big Fun” era, White went on to create influential records including “Happy People,” “Into the Sun,” and the double-platinum hit “I Like That.” His production and remix credits include Depeche Mode, Madonna, deadmau5, Elvis Presley, Hans Zimmer, Nile Rodgers, Idris Elba, and Swedish House Mafia.
